DEAF - BrickFilm Entry To Brick A Brack Silent Contest

Thanks for watching! This is my entry to the Brick a Brack Silent Contest, and, this is the first video I've made using my new laptop and webcam! Yeah, I know there's much wrong with it, but I hope you enjoyed! Best of luck to all who entered!

One of my favorite things about brickfilming is sound design - and this is perfect. The lack of sound really makes me feel for the main character and the animation is super engaging, so it's almost impossible to get distracted. Well done!

I did notice some light flicker here and there - since this is your first time with a laptop (and a webcam, I presume ), try lowering the camera's Gain setting and raising the Exposure. That will allow more consistent light to be detected by the camera sensors and get rid of this flicker lines.

Great job and best of luck in the contest!

Nice! Ah, the thrill of new equipment. I know how you feel! I recently got a Macbook Pro, Logitech C920, and two new great lights! And a green screen, blue screen, and red screen!

No sounds? Smooth animation tho. (I guess you’re really take the “silent” part of the contest to heart, haha) the lighting of certain scenes was really good.
OH HE GOES TO HE HEARING IMPAIRED SCHOOL! THAT’S GENIUS SINCE THE VIDEO HAS NO SOUND HAHA!
Lainie the drama was really well framed and executed here, you can almost hear the emotional music in the background.

I'm glad you liked it! I had the gain down all the way when shooting and the exposure was up as much as I could get it working with the other settings without looking really bad. The light flicker and waves was mostly because of my lights - there's a few lights that I had to use and they almost always cause waves-, and my studio is in a room with four windows and try as I might, I wasn't able to block out all the natural light which constantly changed and caused light flicker. Hoping to build myself a different studio soon

I don't know why, but just seeing the minifigure cry made me cry.

This was a really sad and emotional brickfilm. But this was really great! I loved the smooth movement and I thought it was perfecto!
